Siblyback lake is a watersports haven in the heart of Cornwall. For windsurfers it is a great place to learn but also for freeride and freestyle.

Almost all wind directions are sailable but specifically NW-N and SSE-S are the best for stronger winds and a more exciting session. In these directions the wind funnels through the valley and is clean for an inland location.

In southerly direction it provides nice flat water.

A lunch fee of £8 is payable at the clubhouse if you are not a SWLT member. Overall it's a safe and friendly lake with a good watersports center.

Features

In NW-N it can often be a few knots stronger than the surrounding area. This effect is present year round but in summer this direction experiences an additional thermal boost.

Specifically look out for NW-N and SSE-S wind directions.

Considerations

Be aware of the wake park which unfortunately makes it impossible to windsurf here in a south-westerly.
